Clutton Youth Fined £4

For a motor-cycle combination without due care and attention at Clutton, on July 29, David Ronald Peter Cook (17), baker's roundsman, of 37, Maynard Terrace, Clutton, was fined £4 by Temple Cloud magistrates on Wednesday.

The proceedings arose from an accident involving a car and the combination in a country lane between Clutton and Clutton Hill.

Insp. D. Greenfield, alleged that Cook approached a left-hand bend at a fast speed and then appeared
to lose control.

The machine veered to its offside and then swerved back to its correct side and then was completely out of control, it was alleged. It veered back to its offside and collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction. driven by a Mr. Williams, of Odd Down.

Cook, who pleaded guilty, had nothing to add in court to his statement, in which he alleged to have said. "I could see there was going to an accident and I applied my brakes hard."
