  • Some Internet searches record the name as Branning. Eliza Blanning remarried Henry Jacobs at 34 Maynard Terrace and her daughter, Georgina, became his step-daughter.

#Was married to Elijah BLANNING, brancher, aged 39, who failed to get away after firing a shot, was killed at Greyfield 10 Oct 1900 (Inspector of Mines Report). Elijah BLANNING, aged 39, was buried at High Littleton 13 Oct 1900. (HL Burial Register).

1920 Auction of the Earl of Warwick’s land and properties – C. Baber, Senr. (Rent 4s 7d per week). Lot No. 96 comprising of Nos. 44, 45, and 46 Maynard Terrace.

Fifty six cottages in Maynard Terrace were lotted in groups of three, four, and five but as there were no offers the auction closed and negotiations took place privately for the houses. Several of them together with some of the other lots were withdrawn, were disposed of, and negotiations are proceeding in regard to the others. It should be stated that all the properties are occupied and none of the tenants are under notice to quit. [Bristol Times and Mirror, 27 August 1920].
